Carol Romanella was a passenger on the Australis in 1970. She left Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her husband Joe, and son Paul, on her way to emmigrate to Australia. Her ex husband was Australian, and Carol is Canadian and comes from Toronto. Carol stayed in Australia for a little over 3 years, and then came back to Canada where she still lives.

Carol spent nearly 2 months on the ship, so it was her home for awhile. She commented "it was one constant party onboard the ship". The girl holding the baby in the first photo (file name: romanella_01.jpg) was Miss Australia. She was returning from the Miss World Pageant, and the baby she's holding is Carol's son Paul.
