Kerri Addy's Picture Gallery
I first met Kerri when she travelled from Sydney to Southampton as a passenger on the Australis in August 1976. I gave Kerri details on how to contact Chandris` Head Office to apply for a job on the ship. In September to October of that year she was a wine stewardess on the Ellinis cruising around the Mediterranean. Then in November `76 she joined the Australis as a stewardess, cashier and information officer. We disembarked at Southampton in April 1977 and decided to back-pack it across Europe for the summer, starting in the Greek Islands and then making our way back through Italy, France and the UK. In November 1977 Kerri worked her passage back to Australia on the Australis as a cashier, this was to be the ships last voyage as the Australis with Chandris Lines. She then worked in Sydney as a barmaid in pubs and clubs. She returned to the UK and Europe in 1981. Kerri met her future husband, an Englishman from Yorkshire, in 1981, and got married in 1983. She has worked as a private investigator with her husband from that time until now.

Welcome all visitors to the S.S. Australis Website, which has now been online since 1998!

I will continue to update the site if I receive a new story, or if you have interesting photos taken on the ship during your voyage on either the southbound, northbound, or on one of the South Pacific cruises. We used to do those trips several times a year from Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland (New Zealand).

I am deeply moved by the interest and wonderful contributions from the numerous passengers and crew over many years.
